Turnover declined to EUR 208.0 million (previous year: EUR 222.9 million). “We consistently continued with the restructuring measures and thus reduced overheads and net financial debt. Liquidity Reserves established
Due to the positive free cash-flow KTM continued to reduce net financial debt and thus establish additional liquidity reserves from operating activities. In April 2010, the capital increase raised equity by EUR 42.99 million, thus strengthening equity and liquidity reserves sustainably.

Positive Trend for the Future
“In the second half of 2009-10 we will gain market shares by launching new and innovative products – particularly the new motocross generation”, so KTM’s CEO Stefan Pierer. The restructuring measures are continued to pursue the current positive development of results and cash-flow into the second half of 2009-10.

The 125 cc street models, developed in cooperation with Bajaj, will be produced and launched at the end of calendar year 2010. Consequently KTM expects increases in sales as well as  development of emerging markets, e.g. Brazil., KTM sets a significant step towards the future of motorcycle engineering, with the presentation of further developments of the Zero Emission Motorcycle (ZEMC) at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show. With the ZEMC KTM sets a new benchmark for the off-road competition sector and fulfils its role as innovative motorcycle manufacturer in the spirit of its corporate philosophy “Ready to Race”.
